Abstract: A Professional Learning Community (PLC) is more than a community of teachers meeting together to share teaching strategies and materials. Participants will hear about the power of PLCs to improve student learning gains through cycles of collective inquiry. A teacher, administrator and former state director will share Oakland Adult & Career Education’s PLC journey: successes, challenges, lessons learned and the road ahead.
