Abstract:

Houston Center for Literacy partners with employers to provide “English @ Work,” a work-site based program designed to immediately impact employee performance, customer relations, and company values. With the growing demands for adult education programs to establish local workplace partnerships, this session will highlight the BurlingtonEnglish® Blended Curriculum, and how Houston Center for Literacy is also partnering with BurlingtonEnglish to address literacy in the workplace. Together, BurlingtonEnglish and Houston Center for Literacy are helping adult education programs address WIOA as well as providing employment opportunities for students.
