Abstract:

In the wake of COVID-19, adult ESOL learners have had the challenge of adapting to remote learning on their own. Learn how a public charter school in D.C. has met this challenge through scaffolded student learning, teacher training, and differentiated digital literacy instruction. This multi-faceted approach has allowed students to succeed in remote learning this year. The school’s digital literacy focus is also preparing them for hybrid learning in the coming school year.
