Collaboration: The Connecting of a Community

Abstract: With like-minded leaders working towards a common goal, collaboration seems effortless. What if the goal requires partnerships outside the organization? How do you ""sell"" a grassroots program seated in ABE culminating in knowledge and skills to promote community recovery? Collaboration inside and outside the classroom gives the student a goal, increases motivation and self-efficacy, and fills the gap from underqualified to employment and apprenticeships.
