Abstract: Here is the link to the google folder for the PowerPoint handout and other resources from my COABE 2016 workshop. Presentation summary: Many adult English Language Learners receive six or fewer hours of instruction weekly. Yet research shows that more time is needed to achieve fluency. Drawing on experience with her own classes, the presenter will provide participants with insights into creating effective homework activities and projects that promote learner autonomy and augment classroom instruction. A variety of activities including the use of a homework blog, study partner logs and the concept of four-skills homework will be provided
