Abstract: In response to COVID-19, to assist in economic recovery and assist local governments to help residents who have been affected by the pandemic through the CARES Act. These funds can be used for training the unemployed. Some adult education and workforce training programs can access the dollars that can cover the cost for student fees and tuition. However, the money needs to be accessed quickly. In Osceola County, Florida, government leaders have partnered with the school district and local colleges to pay for GED testing, ESL fees, vocational training, and some mobile devices.
