Abstract: The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) is dramatically different than previous legislation for adult education. Presenters will address these changes and how they will affect professional development. Participants will share in small groups what they are already doing to address the changes and what they will institute in the future. This will be not only a “what needs to be done” session, but also a “how to do it” session. Participants will be given a new professional development framework and a tool box on how to get started.
