As Manager of National Delivery at the Markle Foundation, Greg Watkins will share how the organization is engaging partners through the Rework America Network to help people without a college degree move into better paying jobs with opportunities for career growth. He will explain the Alliance’s systemwide approach to change, which includes career coaching, employer practice change, and establishing new talent pipelines. This webinar will summarize the Alliance’s human-centered, equity-driven, and skills-based approach to career coaching. Additionally, it will cover strategies promoting effective workforce ecosystems that embrace skills-based practices, as well as an overview of the multiple free tools and trainings the Alliance offers to both employers and coaches to further this exciting work.     Building on the first webinar, “Opportunities in SNAP E&T Part 1 – Introduction & The National Landscape,” panelists from the Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development, Greater Memphis Local Workforce Development Board, Tennessee Department of Human Services, and University of Tennessee Extension’s SNAP Employment and Training Program will discuss the mechanics of strong coordination across programs and funding streams and share provider perspectives on serving individuals whose entry-points span across multiple systems. The panel will also examine the nexus between SNAP E&T and the broader elements of the workforce system including braiding and blending funding, managing administrative processes, and aligning information systems. The aim of this webinar is to encourage the use of SNAP E&T as a resource to enhance and expand existing workforce development programs and develop strategies to cohesively support participants as they move through multiple systems.     Across the country, a push has been made to create a partnership between workforce development and adult education programs. By collaborating and providing services, the programs allow learners to have economic and educational success. By partnering, we are creating a skilled workforce. If we create partnerships, we can address the opportunity gap that exists. It also allows learners to address basic skill instruction and employment preparation to allow students to address the needs of local employers.
